FEH Sponsors ArtSplash Sand Sculpturing Contest

FEH Associates sponsored a new “Colored Sand Sculpturing Contest” at the annual Labor Day weekend ArtSplash.
The 14th annual outdoor Festival of The Arts along Sioux City’s riverfront is a family-centered celebration of the arts offering a showcase for local and regional artists as well as the largest children’s arts event in the area. “Celebrating Children” was selected as the theme for the 2007 ArtSplash.
The Sand Sculpturing addition to this year’s event features creative teams from Iowa State University Design School, Bishop Heelan High School and Morningside College. Scoring combines points from a panel of judges with points coming from the public through the purchase of children's activity tickets. The teams will compete for a $500 top prize, with $300 and $200 awarded to the second- and third-place finishers.
