FEH’s second vision Iowa project completed in Ottumwa

OTTUMWA – The $20.5 million Bridge View Center designed by FEH Associates Inc. officially opened its doors for a New Year’s Eve 2006 celebration.
FEH’s second Vision Iowa project, Ottumwa’s Bridge View Center received $7.5 million in Vision Iowa support for construction of the 50,000 square foot convention center and performing arts theatre. FEH, an architectural-engineering firm in Sioux City and Des Moines, was also the lead architect for the $53 million Tyson Events Center/Long Lines Family Rec Center in Sioux City which benefited from $21 million in Vision Iowa funding.
FEH was hired to design the Ottumwa’s new facility in June 2003.
Built with the center’s lobby overlooking the Des Moines River, Ottumwa’s Bridge View Center occupies the former site of the city’s Coliseum. The new facility’s design incorporates walls and a stained glass window saved during demolition of the 1935 building.
