FEH Associates Inc. has been retained to design the new public library for the City of Carroll, Iowa. The first step in that process involved the selection of a site for the new library.
Working with an appointed committee, FEH developed site selection criteria and prioritized those criteria to be used in evaluating potential library sites. Twenty sites were evaluated, tested and ranked.
The new 32,000 square foot library will go on the Heider Manufacturing site on the south edge of downtown Carroll.
The design will take a sustainable approach and repurpose an existing building. Adjacent areas will be redeveloped for green space, parking and allow for future development.
