The first phase of a Campus Master Plan created by FEH, the Scholastic Learning Center and Cyber café has wireless technology integrated throughout the 48,500 square foot facility. The Learning Center replaces a multilevel library with a main floor library/media center that offers a distance learning center/multimedia classroom, large lecture classroom, a multimedia-equipped board room, and student chapel. FEH’s Cyber café design combines limited food service with computer/wireless internet assisted study. The building connects to the campus student center (set for renovation as part of Phase II of the Master Plan), and features tower entrances and arched cathedral style windows. The design reflects the college’s Benedictine mission while blending with existing campus architecture. The new facility has quickly become the campus hub and contributed to increased enrollment at MMC.
