PROJECT UPDATES LIBRARY PROJECTS SIOUX CENTER PUBLIC LIBRARY   Sioux Center, Iowa BIDDING: Bids came under budget with the winning base bid of $3,136,000 by Schelling Corporation of Sioux Center. The site for the new, 20,000-square-foot library includes a former gymnasium which temporarily houses the library after the city’s public library building was destroyed by arson fire. Construction begins in mid-June with the demolition of the unoccupied portion of the gymnasium. Once the new library is completed, the temporary location will be cleared for additional parking. < back
