MAIN BRANCH LIBRARY, SIOUXLAND PUBLIC LIBRARIES

Sioux Falls, South Dakota

The main library facility for the Siouxland Libraries is in an urban location on a tight site. To expand this library is a challenging proposition. The 44,620 square foot facility, built in 1972, is out of room. It requires an expansion of 22,000 square feet and an interior remodeling and reconfiguration to meet the current needs of its patrons. FEH is providing all the initial building assessments, building programming and the conceptual design in a design "charrette" format. Community input is very important and has been used throughout the design phases. For progress photos, see www.siouxlandlib.org/general_info_policies/main_construction
